.:A Random:.

Life is meant to be lived...and learnt
Opportunities are meant to be seized...and sought
Regrets are meant to be avoided...and accepted
The past is meant to be relinquished...and remembered
The present is meant to be enjoyed...and explored
and the future is just meant to be...

.:Life of a Badminton Player:.

Okay first thing first read the scans below. It is about my role model and national hero.It is Lee Choong Wei (LCW). Malaysia's pride mens singles badminton player. The article talk about his life and finacial planning.Pretty cool stuff.

A world class player.World number 1 in badminton. The most humble sportsman I have ever seen.Truly he is a role to me and the people of Malaysia. It is just a sad thing that he is being paid so low for what he is doing.I mean players like Tony Gunawan and Lin Dan are being paid twice as much as he gets.It sad and I feel sorry for him.The thing about LCW is that he put his head right in what he really wants to do. Being 24 year old and achieving so much I am sure he will achieve more in the days to come. All the best to LCY is the Doha Asian Games 2006. I hope Malaysia will win the title. Malaysia Boleh

.:Pirates of Music:.

Everyone who has a computer and an internet connection is a pirate. Now, dont deny it.Some of us dont give a darn.Oh well it is just hard to stop people from downloading. The music CD's are just too expensive at times.

Weird Al Yankovic just lauched a new album called Straight Outta Lynwood. It features a song that will reminds us that we are all pirates. The song is called "Dont Download This Song". Here is a video and the lyrics of the song.Enjoy folks..

Don't Download This Song

Once in a while
Maybe you will feel the urge.
To break into national copyright law
By downloading mp3s
From file sharing sites
Like morphous or grogster or limewire or kazza.
But deep in your Heart.
You know the guilt would drive you mad
And the shame would leave a permanent scar
Cause you start out stealing songs
Then you're robbing liquor stores
And selling Crack
And running over school kids with your car

[Chorus]
So Don't Download This Song
The record store is where you belong
Go and buy the CD like you know that you should
Oh Don't Download This Song

Oh you don't want to mess
With the R I Double A
They'll sue you if you burn that Cdr.
It doesn't matter if you're a grandma
Or a seven year old girl
They'll treat you like the evil Hard-bitten criminal scum you are

[Chorus]
So Don't Download This Song (don't go)
Pirating music all day long
Go and buy the CD like you know that you should
Oh Don't Download This Song

Don't take away money
From artists just like me
How else can I afford another solid gold Hum V
And diamond studded swimming pools
These things don't grow on trees
So all I ask is everybody Pleaseeeeee

[Chorus]
Don't Download This Song (Don't do it No No)
Even Lars Urlich Know it’s wrong (You could just ask him)
Go and buy the CD like you know that you should (You Really Should)
Oh Don’t Download This Song

Don't Download This Song (Oh please don't you do it or you)
Might Wind up in Jail like Tommy Chong (Remember Tommy)
Go and buy the CD (Right Now) like you know that you should (Go out and Buy it)
Oh Don't Download This Song.

Don't Download This Song (No no no no no no)
Or you'll burn in hell before to long (And you deserve it)
Go and buy the CD (Just buy it) like you know that you should (You should get it)

" Pirate Everything ( Lord of Pirates, 2004)"

Ahem.

I buy legal music and software, and have stopped downloading illegally.. and not everyone with an internet connection is a pirate :)

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 11:40 PM

But i am sure that everyone of us were pirates once..At least one less pirates will slowly make a difference...heheh How are you Jinny??

By Blogger Blurry D, at 12:22 PM

Arrrrrrggg!
Waakakaka
I like the last line.
"Dedicated to the Pirate King: Download Everything!"

The song is weird. And the fact that it is on You TUbe is kinda ironic. :P

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 3:50 AM

WAH.... why la target me?

Since stupid TMNuts blocked/throttle bandwidth on all P2P stuff. (maximum 5kbps for me)

I barely download stuff. Ask Mark.. I'm going over to his house to get stuff I want... sighs... It takes days or weeks to get anything...

But back to the main topic... I still won't buy anything ori unless its really worth it. If they lower the price to like RM10 or so for a CD, I won't buy ori CD's.. RM35-44 is just too much.

Talk about movies? Lately, they all suck. Some are not even worth watchin in cinema. And face it, P2P promotes artists/movies... It reaches a further audience and when people face the guilt, they will buy ori. Like Mark, if he wants to test/listen to an artist he'll download one or 2 songs. Then if nice, he'll buy the album.

Its kinda like try first then only buy. But for ppl who are poor, cnanot lo. So what to do? Get the next best thing. DL lo...

I really would switch to ori everything if it were cheaper... Really! :)

-Leto-

By Blogger Leto, at 4:04 AM

It is just the exchange rates.CD's and DVD here is aussie are cheap.Plus games here are also cheap and you can trade in your old ones for new ones.

You have a point there. However, there are only a handful of people that are like Mark.I believe that there is more than meets the eye.P2P has gone out of control.Too out of control till it has been a hazard.

One thing for sure P2P did make people like Russel Peters , Omid Dijili, bands like Josh Harwell and Racal Faltts. Famous.Plus WongFu Productions got their fame through P2P.At the end of the they i reckon there is 2 sides to the coin. Some people made money from P2P some didnt unfortunately.

Oh well........

By Blogger Blurry D, at 1:09 PM

I'm fine, Adrian :) Busy but fine.

Regarding everyone being a pirate once - may be true to a certain extent, but I know of people who've never pirated anything in their life.

As for me, now that I'm earning my own money, it's easier for me now to get licenses for all the software I need. And most software for the Mac tends to be cheap unlike Micro$ucks software, so it's alright for me.

Otherwise, if I'm unable to pay for the software that month, I strike a deal with my parents (happened a few times already) - I take a loan from them, purchase the software, and slowly pay them back over a span of few weeks/months, interest free. So where's the problem? None :)

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 3:03 PM

That is nice..Oh well it really depends on a lot of things. You can say microsoft suck and MAC is better.I have to say that there are some good things in MAC and good things about Microsoft.I dont think it is a good thing to jump to conclusion like that.It really depends on what you are comfortable with.No saying that you are totally wrong. However i feel that there is always 2 sides to a coin.

Thats nice to be independant and stuff like that it is really cool. You learn a lot.A friend of mine did the same as you are doing he got a very cool laptop.Plus he is also a tester for microsoft windows vista. He does testing for both MAC and PC.Yea the pricing for MS stuff are really expensive.Man he told me that windows vista will be price at 320 AUD just for an upgrade.Man if you ask that is expensive.

Anyways, good luck on your exams and have fun keep in touch....

By Blogger Blurry D, at 9:16 PM

The price of vista will drop eventually... actually, they must.

There are more and more people converting to MAC already. Even I am quite shaken and would like to have one. You might ask what? the Mighty Leto has fallen?

No lerr... I've seen the memory management of Mac.. and if its used for work and especially memory heavy applications, Mac is the machine u want. Compare to windows, there is just no match. However since many of us would like to play games on PC, the windows OS still offers that part of the chip. Though you can get a Mac and then get some emulators or install XP itself onto it, but its just too much hassle and thus windows is the better choice for gaming. Mac Games are original and pirated versions are hard to find.

So, buy a MAC if you dont wanna play games and wanna work alone. Get a PC if you wanna play games. Many people however believe that console will be the next gen in gaming but I personally doubt it. There is a limit as to where consoles can go. Eventually a console will become a PC and thus dont waste money on it. :)

By Blogger Leto, at 2:26 AM

Yea i couldnt agree more..everything is so eventual. Here they are really big on consoles and mac.I just saw one guy using the Black mac.It looks awesome.Yea MAC is good for just work i could not agree more.I guess consoles will not be a PC, for now. I dont know but there will be a war of consoles in the years to come.Consoles are so big here that i got a mate of mine who has 3 consoles with a plasma tv.Not that he is rich but it cheap here.An average partimer can afford a X Box 360 in a week.Games here are cheap too.

So at the end of the day.Priates we are.Once we earn our money perhaps we will be a non - pirate.

Have anyone watched the movie starred by Lindsay Lohan titled Just My Luck? I say , that movie is alright. It is about Lindsay being lucky all the time.

For all I know, I am not a very lucky person. However, something happend today.I went out for a jog today and I found something.Specifically illustrated below.

I picked it up as it was lying on the sidewalks.I took a look around make sure that noone on the sidewalks dropped it.I dont want to be called a thief.Took it up and look around.Noone.Sweet!! I took another look around if there were summore.Too bad there werent any, I know I sound greedy but I have never been this lucky. Going for jogs is luckier than going to crown casino.I am so going for more jogs in the future. =P

.:Faking it!!!:.

I know I am suppose to be drowning myself with notes , books and whatsoever to prepare for my upcoming final exams.I cant help it , I just had to blog something that has been on my mind.SK and I were chatting last night.SK just ranted to me about how unreal people are at times and how they are good to you when they need something or driven by motives.I could not agree more. It is always a question that will bother you for the rest of your lives.I suppose it is part of so called life that everyone has to go through.Nevertheless , I am a victim myself. SK gave me a question to ponder on. She asked , how real are the people around you? How do you know that they are real? I reckon that is a good question. I guess it show through the little things that they do and when things are rough going. It does not mean that people that you hang out with are people that real to you.For all you know they just want something from you.Sometimes individuals that you have negelcted , are people that are actually real. They care for you nonetheless.

As for me, I quite am clear as to who are my friends and aquaintances.I make my decision based on numerous criteria. So far it had worked for me , thus it give me a clear picture of who are my friends or rather who are real to me. Sometimes a little unconditional kind gesture can make a whole world to someone.Even they think you are faking it, but ultimately God knows and you will be vindicated.Again it is not easy to identify who is real and who is not.It is a very subjective matter.I do sometimes fall into a trap myself. It makes me a bitter and angry person.Thankfully there is something called forgiveness.A counter pain.A remedy. It makes me a whole lot joyful person.

Imagine this, you have a friend studying all alone somewhere in the library. You, blesssed with friends and is studying in a group friends. The lonely friend comes along and asked if you want to have something to eat.You rejected him because you were undecided and you want to be with your group of friends. So obiviously the lonely friend of yours would be dissapointed. At times , people judge this kind of situation. That lonely friend might think that you are not real to him. When you need him you call him, when you dont you just reject him. There is always 2 side to the coin. This is what I think. The lonely friend should not be at all angry or be dissapointed with you even he had an excuse to be.I suggest if you are in that situation just forgive and move on with life.As for the you the person that rejected the lonely friend, be tactful to his needs. All he wanted is someone to accompany him for a snack. You dont know what that little gesture can do. It can mean a something to him.

Dont be jugemental over issues like these , it make you concludes that people are not real.It works both way.Be tactful to peoples needs, be assertive in your words and learn to forgive. These little things can help you more that you ever know.People who are real to you hold on to them tightly, people who are faking it just be nice dont curse them. Then again learn to forgive. There are real and fake people out there.Have wisdom to choose which ones are real and which ones are fake. You might just find out that people who you thought are fake are actually you real friends who cares about you.

** Hope this helps SK!!!

i think real or not depends on ur faith.. just like havong faith in God. Me n my best friend, we rarely talk even we see each other on MSN. even when im back in m'sia.. she's always busy with her bf or work.. she does always turn me down when i need her too.. but i guess is the faith we have in each other. Hugs.

.:L.O.V.E:.

A frequently used word after F*%K. Numerous people are constantly searching for it.Love. Is it just a word of expression? Perhaps there is more to just an expression of words or feelings.Actions do speak louder than words. So does actions account for expression of love?

What is love ?

In and out of a few relationships, I began to find what I really desire from the one that will sweep me off my feet.I will wait.Wait upon something that will glide me through eternity.Despite, yesterday was the past, the future is as vontile as it seems.I only can dream of that someone now.I wonder at times how is it be like to be loved, kissed and hugged? Here in my heart there is picture of us together forever, never fading and unbroken.

I really felt that I should had confess how I feel, but there was a something that held me back.Something ask me to wait.Wait and not let my feelings cloud my judgement. It was a long shot, still too farfetched. She just faded away, knowingly that she will be taken by someone else.No doubt I was right....

So can anyone help me with what is the real definition of Love???

Spare me a helping hand...

.:Life goes on....:.

Sharon got out of bed, like every morning.Dread to attend school.I was a Tuesday, sunny spring weather. After getting herself ready, she headed down for breakfast.Cuddles with mom and blows her a kiss.Dad come down a second later ,"morning sweetie!" he said.Morning dad! She replied.Breakfast was done with and soon she hop on to dad's sleek black Holden Commodore.Normally, it is just dad that drops Sharon to school, but today mum is tagging along as she had an appointment with a friend in the city.Dropping Sharon off at school she exchanged good bye with her parents.

The school bell rings which indicates that school is over.Sharon was delighted ,what more excited to show her parents that she has an A+ for her maths test.Packing her bag she said to herself, what a beautiful day! Dashing out the classroom, her were wide open scounting for dad's car.Suddenly, she was tapped on the shoulder. She looks back with a fright as it caught her off guard. It was her class teacher Ms. Mullen. Sharon was very surprised that Ms. Mullen tapped her on her back.Something was different, Ms.Mullen was sobbing as she hugs Sharon.Wondering what has happend, She asked what was wrong. All her teacher did was she pulled Sharon aside under a tree.

I could remember what Ms.Mullen told me that day, said Sharon. Looking at her , I could only guess what had happend.Sharon's parents died in a car accident while they were on their way to pick her up at school. She was 14 then. Now 23, pursuing a business degree.I ponder on that little tale that was shared to me.Gosh, she must have been through a lot.More than what I have been through.I could imagine me being in her shoes, I would have fell and never rise up again.14 is a very vulnerable age.She could have got herself into drugs and be the scum of the world. But she didnt, she push on.

Sharon told me, it has never been smooth going sinced her parents died. However, she also did say life goes on.After hearing what she had shared, I was amazed by her will to live. Not just live a life , but live it with a purpose.Remind me that I should be thankful that everyday that I live in is a better day than a thousands of people out there.Though I complain, but there is someone out there who want the life that I am having....

.:Company of Heroes:.

No it is not a comedy like some presume it to be.It is a game. A game that I will give a big tumbs up!! THQ along with Relic and Nvidia (Names of game producers) launched this game weeks back. This game is about World War 2 and it is a real time strategy (RTS) genre. It was one of the most anticipated game of the year. I heard of it 5 months back but I did not bother as the first impression was not as good as it seems. So I got a copy of the game from Long Zheng , got it installed in my laptop and started testing the game out. I skipped the tutorials as usual cause I think it is a long tedious waste of time procedure to me, I will just learn from playing the missions.Playing the first mission ,I fell in love. I fell in love with the game!!! It is awesome!! Just awesome! The graphic , commands , physics everything to the the tactics and strategy.I started playing the game last week on thursday and I finished it today.Note that the game play has a difficult learning curve. However you will get used to it after the first few missions. The missions are not as easy as they seem to be.Some mission took me as long as 2 hours.Traditionally all RTS has the basic build a million troops , rush the enemy and win the mission. Not with this game!! You have to think strategically and use tactics to flank your enemy.Plus you must fully utilized each units special abilities as they are your wild cards to victory. With this game you will have no time to take a piss.Highly addictive.Endless hours of fun and excitment.I strongly recommend any who enjoys and appreciate computer games. So far there are some bug here and there. One particularly is when a tank goes over a solider, it still live and can run for his life.Talk about being lucky, I would never want to go near a tank.

I give a rating of 10 out of 10.

Click on the picture above to pay a visit to the official site.

.:3rd October 2006..:.

20 years ago I was a small little Kok, but now I am Kok grown into a man.Yay! Happy Birthday to me...Hehehe....

I was a small celebration but it was great. The celebration was at "Sofia's" an italian restaurant that is famous for its pizza's.

It is my birthday and there is no way that I could be there also rite so the people present were at my lil party is:
Sarah Lim a.k.a Mummy, she become so happening but at least she remembered my birthday..

Yuki my housemate

Fiona Lim the person that takes care of my tummy

Housemate Reagan and his new watch.Act cute!!

What is a birthday without food? A boring one I presume. So the menu for the night was:

Kilpatrick Oysters

Baked oysters with cheese

Some seafood pasta, I cant remember the name cause I cant even pronounce it's name

My personal favourite, fried calamari. Yummy!!!!!!

Aussie Pizza

Sofia's Special Pizza

What is pizza without cheese and red crushed chilli? Boring!!!

All of them have seperate tummy for different food, so dessert were served

Oversized Gelato..Oh lovely

Cheese Cake

Some pastry with cream and strawberries.I cannot recall the name.

Kokzilla in action!! Roar!!!

After Sofia's we all headed home as all of us have a date assignments so my after-party was with assignments. That is sad, but I dont think I have a choice. However, there is are lots of thingd that motivates me.Presents!!!!!!!!

Thanks Fiona, Sarah , Yuki , Reagan , Daffy , Slyvia, Raudah and Ruzi for the lovely presents.I like them all.Apreciate it so much.
Another special thanks to Fiona, Yuki and Reagan. On Monday which was the eve of my birthday, they pulled a birthday surprise for me.They did not quite caught me off guard but I was surprised in some way. This is how it happed.I went out for dineer with We-Ki and Wei Ann at Grilled. So I came home at around 8 plus p.m, just incase cause Reagan left the house without keys.I waited and waited, I was worried cause it is a seldome thing that Reagan and Yuki return home late.A few minutes before 12.The doorbella rangs.I was relived.Once I open the door, a cake . sparklers , candles and a card written "Happy Birtday Kok". Then they jumped out no where and shouted "Yay and happy birthday". Out of the blue , the neighbour freaking yelled at us.So I did not have the chance to get a picture of that nice setup of candles and sparklers.

Finally I am 21 so what's next??????

**Note, all the pictures above are taken by Little King!!!

.:0.1% of a Dinosaur's Age:.

As of today, I have roamed this world for 21 years. Nothing compared to the dinosaurs who roam the earth. However, I am glad to live to see today come to pass. Some people do not have the luxury to live their lives to see their 21.I have the chance and I shall be thankful for it. Looking back, it has been 21years being a human and living in this so called temporary paradise. Some called it hell but I rather see it as paradise. I have been through the up and downs, that life have to offer. There is more to come in the coming years. Recalling the times when I was younger, I did things that I live to regret with. Things that should not have done but it did it anyways. All in all it is part of growing up. Mistakes make you stronger if you do not repeat them. A couple of hiccups here and there, you realized life is not that simple to live with. Still life goes on. I have a collection of wounds, hurts and scars. Nevertheless, looking at my rear view mirror I have enjoyed every form of crap that life has thrown at me.

21 years of age. There is a huge part of my life I have shared with. I shared it with friends. People that accepted me, for who I am, love me unconditionally, cared for me without a motive and carried me when I fell. I would have never come this far without friends. Primary school and my college years were the best years of my education life. Would not say there rest was bad but they were dark times. I big thank you to the “Super Heroes Gang” you guys are just awesome friends. To people from DUMC, Pre-U 4 and CYZ I thank you for guiding me when I was the lost sheep in the herd. Friends that I have known throughout high school, college and university, I thank you for your never-ending support. Lastly to people that kept me sane in Melbourne, I thank you Dennis people.Plus, I also want to extend to appreciatian to Weki and Wei Ann for providing transport to church every week to CityLife.

The past 6 years of my life were very trying years that I ever had so far. Things have brightened up and it will get brighter in the days to come.Jesus thank you for holding me when fell in the depths of hell. When called you answered me. Never had you forsaken me. I thank for your amazing unconditional love that you poured out to me. Forgive for the time I had sinned. I want thank you for the all the blessing that you have given me and also to those that is forthcoming. Thank you for dying on the cross.I am glad you are in my life.

Mum and Dad, thanks for everything. Writing this entry just me tear. I miss home. I know that at times I am not a son to be proud of. However, you never made felt like loser at all. You gave me the confidence and motivation to achieve in life.I know things were ugly back then, but I know that the wounds are healed and lets continue this parents and son relationship. I love you mum and dad.Not to miss out my sister too..Love ya too hugssss!!!!

21 years has gone. So what is next??

~Part 2 Coming up!!!!~

.:It's a rose, It's a orchid .No!! It's TULIPS!!:.

* Knock Knock*

Reagan : Uhmm !! Kok are you awake? Fiona is on her way.

Sigh!! I need to get an alarm clock or I am going to wake up late for everything.Geez, you cant really trust a phone to wake you up when it is job to make phone calls.Jumping out of bed, I realised I had 20 minutes max to get ready before Fiona comes around.Thankfully, I did everything in time. Tulip farm here I come. It was around an hour drive to the tulip farm festivals, plus the time that we made a worng turn.It was a hot sunny day with tempreture soaring to 25 degrees.

Upon arriving, I noticed a mass of people flocking the entrance. The queue was averagely long but it was a fast moving queue. It was a jazz week with a jazz band playing that the tulips festivals. The tulips were so beautiful, at a first glance they look fake but they are indeed real.I would want to go into details on what signifiance tulips are cuturally nor would I want to bore to with my day at the farm.So I am going to dazzle you with lots of beautiful pictures.Enjoy.I know you would.
This the arc at the entrance of the farm.I think that this farm is only open once a year, in the season of spring of course.

Just me and the sign board. From here onwards it would only be pictures of Tulips and its beauty.

Yuki and Me

Just myself and the beauties surrounding me

The Dennis Family

Fiona and me

Me and Little King

Thats all folks it was a good day out before hell break loos for the next month ahead.Exams are around the corner, it give me the creeps.
